Bonsai Kai is the oldest bonsai club in Europe.
It was formed within the Japan Society of London (founded in 1891) and in 1987 became an independent bonsai club. Over the years, many well-known figures in the bonsai world have been members.
The annual membership subscription for 2023 is £30.

About the club
Expert advice
The knowledge and experience of both members and expert speakers can be gained at Bonsai Kai's meetings which serve as a forum for the diffusion of expert advice on the cultivation of bonsai as well as being a meeting of friends.

Bonsai Kai is an RHS affiliated society. It was founded after an exhibit of bonsai at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 1961 and has regularly exhibited there and at shows in the RHS London Halls, winning many RHS Gold Medals over the years.
